The Rev. Richard Hong is the pastor of First Presbyterian Church. Rich received the Master of
Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in NYC, and did his undergraduate work at Princeton
University, receiving a bachelor's degree in chemistry.
Prior to entering ministry, Rich ran his own software consultancy for twenty years, writing computer
programs for research scientists in the pharmaceutical industry. He grew up in Chicago (a lifelong
Cubs fan) , though he has lived in New Jersey ever since college. Rich loves contemporary worship
and pop culture, and enjoys speaking on the use of technology in churches. Rich serves as a member
of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Bergen County and sits on the Alumni Council of Union
The Rev. Kellie Anderson-Picallo is Parish Associate at First Presbyterian Church. Kellie is a media
professional who consults and produces projects with Odyssey Networks, Covenant Network and
Auburn Media. She joined FPC after several years at Auburn Theological Seminary, where she was
the Director of Auburn Media and coordinator of the Auburn Media Training program.
In her previous career Kellie was an Emmy Award-winning producer for PBS and the Discovery
Channel. A native of Miami, FL, a graduate of Union Theological Seminary in NYC, the University of
Florida, and a lifelong Presbyterian, Kellie now lives in NYC with Al, her husband of nearly 20 years,
and their two children.
